Bellevue, Washington · Pacific Northwest

We're building
a Hilux Surf.
Then we're giving
it away.

A PNW car club where the truck on this page ends up in someone's driveway. Maybe yours. Free entry, always — that's the law and the point.

PNW built. JDM rooted.

01 · The prize

One owner is temporary.
The next one wins it.

A right-hand-drive Toyota Hilux Surf, imported from Japan, built for Cascade logging roads — then handed to a winner with the title in the envelope.

02 · Why we built this

It started at dusk.

The Surf parked on a wet PNW road, evergreens behind Home turf · PNW rain

Saanjh (ਸਾਂਝ) is Punjabi for dusk — golden hour, the hour the light goes warm and everything looks built on purpose. It's the only time worth shooting a car, and it's the name this whole thing is built around.

I'm a Punjabi kid in the Pacific Northwest who got obsessed with a right-hand-drive truck most people had never heard of. The PNW car scene is some of the best in the country — JDM, overland, builds that actually see dirt — but it can be cliquey, gatekept, judgmental about what you drive. I wanted to build the opposite of that.

So Saanjh isn't a page that posts other people's cars. We build a real truck in public, give it away to someone in this community, and run real meetups where a base Civic parks next to a built Surf and nobody blinks. No heritage I'm from gets left at the door — it's in the name, the look, the whole thing.

That's the company. The Hilux Surf is just where it starts.

03 · The build log

Every bolt,
documented.

The whole build happens in public — parts arriving, shop days, problems, fixes. Follow along on TikTok and Instagram. This log tracks the phases.

Phase 00The truck landsComplete

Surf acquired, inspected, and titled to the company. Baseline photos and a full once-over before anything gets touched.

Phase 01FoundationIn progress

Mechanical baseline: full fluid service, timing components, cooling system — everything the 1KZ-TE needs to be trusted in the backcountry.

Phase 02Suspension & armorQueued

Lift, all-terrains, skid protection, recovery points. The stance everyone will recognize from the edits.

Phase 03Overland kitQueued

Roof rack, lighting, power, storage — the camp-anywhere layer, tested on real PNW trips before the drawing.

Phase 04Final detail & revealQueued

Paint correction, livery, the reveal shoot at golden hour somewhere in the Cascades. Then entries open.

The first drawing won't be the Surf — it'll be a PNW overland kit, run start to finish in public so you can see exactly how we draw winners before the big one. Get on the list to know the second it opens.

05 · The club

If you care about cars,
you belong here.

No gatekeeping. Not in the comments, not at the meets, not ever.

A base Civic parks next to a built Surf — and they're equal here. That gets proved by how we act, not just said in a caption.

Real meetups, not just a feed. Parking-lot meets around Bellevue and Redmond, open invite, no entry fee, every car welcome.

Founding members shape the brand. Early followers vote on merch designs, see build updates first, and get meetup invites before anyone else.
